Our missions
Pursuant to the provisions of Executive Decree No. 10-257 of October 20, 2010, the aforementioned Directorate of Tourism and Handicrafts is entrusted with the following tasks:
- Initiating every measure that would create an appropriate and stimulating environment for the development of tourism activities
- Monitoring the conformity of tourism activities with management standards and the rules for practicing tourism activities
- Contribute to improving tourism services, especially those related to hygiene, health protection and security
- Directing and following up, in coordination with the relevant bodies, tourism investment projects
- Integrating tourism activities within the tools of regional development and urbanization and the valorization of tourist sites
- Ensuring the sustainable development of local tourism through the promotion of eco-tourism, cultural and historical tourism
- Collecting, analyzing and distributing information and statistical data about tourism activities and preparing cards and documents related to the tourism and local health capacities
- Encouraging the emergence of diverse and high-quality tourist requests, as well as promoting and marketing local tourism products
- Supporting and developing the activities of dealers, bodies and associations involved in tourism and mineral baths
- Ensuring that citizens’ needs and aspirations are met in the field of tourism, recreation and entertainment
- Ensuring the implementation of the running and equipment budget
- Preparing an annual work plan related to tourism activities
- Initiating every measure that would create an appropriate and stimulating environment for the sustainable development of local tourism activities
- Ensuring the sustainable development of tourism by working on valuing local capabilities
- Encouraging the emergence of diverse and quality tourism offers
- Implementation of programs and measures to promote and develop tourism activities and mineral baths and evaluate their results
- Collecting, analyzing and providing the sector’s statistical monitoring mechanism in the field of informatics and statistical data
- On activities related to the tourism economy and mineral baths and ensuring their dissemination
- Contribute with the sectors concerned to the promotion of national and foreign partnership, especially in the fields of investment and human resource formation
- Integrating tourism activities within the tools for preparing the region and urbanization and valuing the areas and sites of tourism expansion
- Directing and following up tourism investment projects in communication with the concerned authorities
- Ensuring the conformity of tourism activities and the application of the rules and quality standards established in this field
- Contribute to the improvement of tourism services, especially those related to hygiene, health protection and security associated with tourism activity
- Ensuring that the needs of citizens and the aspirations of tourists are met in the field of comfort, recreation and entertainment
- Ensuring the implementation of the budgets for the preparation and management of the tourism side
- Ensure the follow-up of the implementation of support operations under the title of the Investment Support Fund, and the promotion and quality of tourism activities
- Participation in the preparation and implementation of financing tourism activities in the funds of the south and the high plateaus
- Activating and framing external interests, intermediate spaces and the associative movement that is active in tourism at the local level
- Participation, in liaison with the concerned sectors, in the preparation and implementation of training, improvement of the level, renewal of knowledge and valorization of human resources
- Contributing to the preparation of the annual and multi-year plan for the development of tourism in the state
- Preparing the outcomes of the three-year and annual activities of the tourism activity
- Preparing an annual and multi-year work plan related to the development of traditional industry activities
- Initiating every measure that would create an atmosphere conducive to the sustainable development of the activity of traditional industry
- Contribute to the protection, preservation and rehabilitation of the heritage of traditional industry
- Ensuring the application and respect of laws, regulations, standards and models related to quality in the field of production and studying the activities of handicrafts
- Participation in the follow-up to the implementation of support operations under the title of the National Fund for the Promotion of Traditional Industry Activities
- Participation in the preparation and implementation of financing traditional industry activities in the funds of the south and the high plateaus
- Participation in efforts to integrate traditional industry activities into the local economic system
- Strengthening and revitalizing the work of organizations, professional groupings, associations and intermediary spaces active in the field of handicrafts
- Initiating investigations and studies of a technical, economic and social nature related to evaluating craft activities
- Collecting information and statistical data in the field of traditional industry and ensuring its distribution
- Organizing economic events in order to promote and revitalize traditional industry and crafts
- Ensure the implementation of the equipment and management budget registered under the title of traditional industry
- Preparing the three-year and annual results of the activity of the traditional industry
